History, geopolitics & strategy

Military history and geopolitics offer a wider lens on the forces shaping the world. Game theory and chess reflect my interest in incentives, judgement and how decisions interact.

Sport & balance

Football, rugby, tennis and running are a regular counterpoint to academic and professional interests.

Community & connection

Through ItsRainingRaincoats in Singapore in 2021, I taught English to a Bangladeshi worker, adapting lessons despite having no shared language. I have also volunteered with the iNaturalist endangered species programme and a cat sanctuary.
